spring thing effect

Darknesss late receded, fresh breezes on the move,
The slavering beast no longer stirs, the silence grows so soothing

The tide is turned, I hope again and wake with anticipation
A future beckons, joy and pleasure, the one and I together

Dawn breaks, with sounds anew, saline scent surrounding,
A smile, a laugh, sounds forgot burst forth, delight in pastel hue

A paler dark creeps oe’er there, a storm cloud blankets shroud,
Loki turns, a hand is proffered, slyly in the gloom.

The hounds do stir, slaver drools, pools forming now, not fragrent
A howl so shrill, gnashing jowls, puncture sharp the flesh

Tearing, rending, cloaking crepe of midnight shade, in tie length torn,
The days extend, hours stretch until I, to you return

A coven forms of discontent, a sharing of combined troubles,
I’m not alone, isolation fades, a glimmer of light returns.

I dream of grinding bones, of death and of destruction,
My smile returns, long since gone, with hope and distant views.

My demon is at last cast aside, in my mind ground into dust,
I live no more for toil to endure, my days are now more golden.

  1. Hello stranger. Nice to hear from you again. Thought reading that for a minute that you had finished work but I checked the years to go. Hope all is well your way šŸ™‚

    • Hi Kate, one of my colleagues asked if I still blogged. I hadn’t realised I had been gone so long. I will try to remedy my absence.
How are you? Last time I looked ( months ago) you had a poorly leg and were using data to post. I hope all has reverted to normal now.

We have now moved to Eastbourne, we have been there about 6 weeks. The house is neglected 1930’s but being loved back into shape.
Off to check what I have been missing out on now šŸ˜‰

      • Missed you.

Fine thanks. It was a sprained ankle last summer. It’s good enough. Time heals and all that.

oooh, good one on the house move. Hope you are enjoying it. Do post piccies. Love 30s props me.

Whatever you do, don’t even think of reading the comments on my last post. I need to control my friendly commenters I think šŸ˜€ Nearly 300?! Anyone would think I had been freshly pressed.

      • Missed you too, I think I might do a bit of a thread about the house, it will have to be from home though, my masters have blocked WordPress access. Ooh maybe a bit of a rant! I have quite a lot stored up but I can’t post everything at once.

  2. Vicky says:

    Nice to see you back.
Like K, I also wondered if you’d finished working.
Stay around a bit longer this time!

    • Hi Vicky, I will try but with reduced output I think, 2 hour commute everyday and the Guardians of Truth have blocked WordPress from our computers at work!!
